Dr. Chu earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she later served as chief resident. In July 2023, she began a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Kentucky.

Outside of work, Dr. Chu enjoys listening to podcasts, connecting with family and friends, writing detailed Yelp reviews, indoor rock climbing, and exploring the outdoors. She recently traveled to Germany and Austria.
